Best option for barb is the Zeal genie 'cause of the lure skill, but any others will work too after all.
Focus on these skills. Max the element points for them first.
Holy path - max speed
Tree of Protection - self heal skill
Alpha Male - Overpowered Roar
There will be 4th skill. If you are lucky, you'll get eventually 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th skill also.
As for those spots I'd suggest at least these
Earthflame - Lure
Earthquake - Attack
Tangling Mire - Reduced phys res on enemies
